Gobble, Gobble! What does Thanksgiving weekend look like in your home? For some it may mean gathering with family while the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is on. Others love to get active and have long-standing traditions of running a Turkey Trot, 5K, or 10K. If lacing up your shoes and starting a new Thanksgiving tradition sounds like something you want to do, here are four area races to check out:

Running of the Turkeys 5K, Downtown Roswell, Thanksgiving Day

The Running of the Turkeys 5k is a new City of Roswell Thanksgiving Day tradition!! Participate LIVE or VIRTUALLY! This route takes you down Canton Street in Downtown Roswell, with proceeds supporting Friends of Roswell Police.

Gobble Wobble 5K/10K/Fun Run, Halcyon, Thanksgiving Day

This annual race at Halcyon on Thanksgiving includes a 10K, 5K, and 1K Kids Fun Run for ages 10 and under.

Tryptophan Half Marathon, 10K & 5K, Cumming, Thanksgiving Day

Earn your right to indulge to your heart’s desire on Thanksgiving Day with a run down and back up the Big Creek Parkway just outside Atlanta at the Tryptophan Half Marathon, 10K & 5K, which makes its 13th annual running on the morning of Thanksgiving Day.
