Mama of the Month: Jodee Stevens

Meet our incredible August Mom of the Month, Jodee Stevens — a strong, kind, and resilient mama of three boys who brings warmth, grit, and a whole lot of heart to our FIT4MOM North Atlanta Village. Her story is a beautiful reminder that self-care, support, and showing up (even when it’s hard) make all the difference in motherhood.

Tell us about your family!

My husband, Graham, and I have three boys. We moved to Alpharetta in 2020 during the pandemic from Upper Saint Clair (Pittsburgh), PA. After having our third son, I joined FIT4MOM to help me stay active. We don’t have any family nearby, so I loved being able to work out without stressing about childcare. It was an added bonus that there were kid activities after many of the classes. FIT4MOM has been a blessing and a great way to prioritize time for myself while modeling a healthy lifestyle for my kids.

Hometown?

Murrysville, PA

Preferred class location?

Avalon and Halcyon!

Current or previous career?

Physician Assistant

Introvert or extrovert?

It depends. I have to be extroverted at work, so sometimes I need a break.

Something we’d be surprised to learn about you?

At the end of September 2024, I broke my left leg and ultimately needed surgery in March 2025. FIT4MOM has been so supportive during my entire recovery, and the workouts have been incredibly complementary to my physical therapy and rehab.

Favorite exercise?

Dead bugs — and I love any barre class!

Favorite must-have baby/kid product?

Magna-Tiles have been a tried-and-true favorite in our house! And a solid, reliable babysitter list is a must to help prioritize date nights.

Favorite food?

Pizza — always.

How did you find FIT4MOM?

A friend of mine in Florida participated in her local FIT4MOM group when we both had our first babies eight years ago. At the time, there wasn’t a program close to where I lived. But when we moved to Georgia and had our third child, I remembered how much she loved it and was ecstatic to find a location so close to home.

What do you love most about FIT4MOM?

The community. I love that the members are such a diverse group of women that I might not normally cross paths with. I also really appreciate all the extra “kid stuff” that comes with being part of this village.

What does motherhood mean to you?

It means the world. It’s important to me to raise my kids to love everyone and to be kind humans.

A Few Words from Her Littles:

How old is Mommy? 38

What’s something Mommy always says to you? “Be quiet” (Elliott) and “Be kind” (Teddy)

What is Mommy really good at? “Finding things” and “working”

What makes you proud of your mom? “That you are nice.”

We’re so lucky to have Jodee in our village. Her strength, sense of humor, and openness inspire us all to keep showing up — for ourselves and each other!
